What is it about?
In this module, you are presented with different (fictional) articles about migration, to identify words and phrases that can cause negative, positive and neutral perception of a migration situation. Through this module, you can test your awareness of words and phrasing.
Let’s explore media narratives and phrasing!
Media has a big influence on society and how society shapes its perception of certain topics. One of them: migration. In the following section, you will be confronted with two different (fictional) articles about a migration event. Check the hints and drag the respective words to the correct sentences to complete the activity. After you are done with one, you can click on the arrow on the right and try again, this time the article is written with the use of a few different words and sentences.
