What is it about?
In this module, you will enhance your understanding of the different “categories” of migrants, as well as understand the situation of migrants and how to support them. The glossary provided in this module, teaches us how to use proper language and terms to treat migrants and migration.

Let’s explore media narratives and phrasing!
Media is a big influence on society and how society shapes its perception of certain topics. One of them: migration. In the following section, you will be confronted with two different (fictional) articles about a migration event. Check the hints and drag the respective words to the correct sentences to complete the activity. After you are done with one, you can click on the arrow on the right and try again, this time the article is written with the use of a few different words and sentences. Which article shows a positive or neutral stance? Which article portrays the same event with a negative connotation?
